Driveway Grading

Driveway Stone: There are many options when it comes to selecting the right stone for your driveway In Harrisburg NC. For a new driveway we recommend a crushed aggregate such as ABC stone or crushed recycled concrete. After proper base compaction and proof roll we recommend topping it with stone such as 57 stone 67 stone or 78 stone. Some customers will use asphalt millings as well.

Grading in civil engineering and landscape architectural construction is the work of ensuring a level base, or one with a specified slope, for a construction work such as a foundation, the base course for a road or a railway, or landscape and garden improvements, or surface drainage.

The city’s terrain, part of the Carolina Piedmont, has modest slopes from roughly 500 to 800 feet elevation and drainage flowing southeast Wikipedia. That means grading contractors must carefully shape land to channel water properly, control erosion, and prep a firm base for site development, construction, and land clearing—before any building even starts.
